North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company 2 has been providing fire protection and life saving services to the residents of North Brunswick since 1926. North Brunswick Fire Company 2 is a group of very dedicated members who are 100% volunteer and spend their off time from regular jobs, serving the citizens of North Brunswick Township and surrounding jurisdictions.
Located no more than 3 miles from the city of New Brunswick and 4 miles from Rutgers University, New Brunswick campus,we are also in close proximity to Rutgers University, Piscataway campus and Middlesex County College. Our first due and surrounding areas also have some of the most traveled roads in the state running right through them. US Highway 1, Route 27, and US Highway 130. Our response area includes residential, commercial & industrial areas, New Jersey Transit and Amtrak railroad lines. We also respond mutual aid to multiple neighboring jurisdictions to assist.
Our station handles over 700 calls for service each year, with calls ranging from activated alarms to structure fires, with everything in between. Our station provides a meeting room, full kitchen, multi-engine bays, basement with couches and chairs for lounging and sleeping and also male & female bathrooms.
Our Company operates with seven types of apparatus, including one Engine, one Tower Ladder, one Rescue Engine, two Brush Trucks and a Utility/Mini Rescue. Our volunteers staff these trucks at all times. We are located on Route 130 Northbound just prior to Adams Lane, right next to the George Logan Towing company. Station 2 services the Maple Meade/Colonial Oak community within the township of North Brunswick.
